(Fargo, ND) -- U.S Senator John Hoven joined The Flag's What's On Your Mind Program to speak on multiple topics happening across the state.

Fargo National Cemetery...

Hoven first spoke about construction changes coming to the Fargo National Cemetery. The representative aimed to address criticisms from local veterans groups, who opposed the implementation of a vault style toilet at the cemetery. He says the vault toilet is only the first of many changes coming.

"We are going to have a wind wall, storage facilities.., "said Hoven, "They've agreed to a heated facility, the last piece is to actually make it a bathroom that is - no kidding - an actual bathroom, with heat and running water...We are working on buying an additional 30 acres, and working with the veterans so they can have some facilities there as well."

Fu Feng Group's Corn Processing Plant...

The representative also spoke on recommendations he made to Grand Forks Mayor Brandon Bochenski regarding the city's plans to build a corn processing plant owned by Fu Feng Group. Hoven says the best way to solve the problem is to find a new group to build an agricultural facility.

"The way you make this a win-win is to find an American company to help them develop an AG Park, "said Hoven, "There's concerns there and we think they should not be doing it with Fu Feng."

In previous conversations with WDAY Radio's The Jay Thomas Show, Mayor Bochenski has said Grand Forks can do very little to stop the construction of a facility on private land besides stopping the construction and connection of city owned infrastructure to the plant.
