(Bismarck, ND)  --  A North Dakota ban on poultry events is back.

The State Board of Animal Health reinstated the ban after a new bird flu case was confirmed Wednesday. The case was found in a noncommercial backyard flock in Cass County.

The flock was destroyed and the farm affected has been quarantined.

Animal health officials are telling owners in a six mile area surround the farm to prevent contact between domestic poultry and wild birds and to watch for avian flu symptoms.
