EDGELEY, N.D. - High winds were a factor in a fatal crash in southeastern North Dakota Sunday morning. It happened just after 9am on Highway 281, about 10 miles north of Edgeley.  The North Dakota Highway Patrol says an empty trailer being pulled by a pickup flipped and detached, causing the pickup to rotate and spin into the opposite lane. A semi pulling a tanker trailer was trying to pass at the time and ended up hitting the pickup.  A passenger in the pickup, a 64-year old Kulm woman, was killed. The driver of the pickup, 69-year old John Woehl of Kulm was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The semi driver was not hurt.

Troopers are still investigating the crash
