(Bismarck, ND) -- Governor Doug Burgum and First Lady Kathryn Burgum will be hosting the North Dakota State Capitol tree lighting ceremony.

The ceremony will happen on Thursday, December 1st at 5:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall. The theme for this year's tree is Inspiring Hope, based on the First Lady's platform of instilling hope in people recovering from addiction. The theme is also being applied to the idea that everyone can inspire hope in others during the holiday season.
