(Northwood, ND) -- A Northwood, North Dakota man was taken to the hospital after a two vehicle pedestrian crash New Years Eve.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol tells WDAY Radio that 38-year-old Nathaneal Nolden was struck by a pickup truck driven by 57-year-old Marcia Sherod just after 8 p.m. Saturday evening.

Sherod's truck was facing the wrong way on Highway 15 when a Cadillac driven by 59-year-old Jodi Lloyd swerved to avoid it, then hit Nolden, who had originally exited his own car and was getting assurance from Sherod to try and pull it out after he drove it into a ditch. Road conditions were icy and fog was setting in around the area.

Nolden was transported to Sanford Fargo for his injured, while Lloyd and Sherod were not hurt.

Charges from the crash are pending, and the incident remains under investigation.
