(Bismarck, ND) -- The North Dakota Health and Human Services program is extending healthcare coverage for pregnant women and new mothers.

State officials say coverage now runs for 12 months, up from the previous 60-day period. Coverage also provides individuals to post-birth checkups, behavioral-health services and preventive care that include mammograms.
