(Bismarck, ND) -- The holidays were a little brighter in 2022 with more North Dakotans choosing ND Sober Ride to get home safely.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation tells WDAY Radio 159 sober rides were provided to Lyft riders from December 19t to January 2nd.

“Many North Dakotans took personal responsibility during the holiday season by choosing to use ND Sober Ride,” said Highway Safety Division Director Karin Mongeon. “This program reduces the number of impaired drivers on the road and allowed riders to celebrate the holiday season with their family and friends because of their positive choice.”

Rides were and are sponsored by AAA.
