(Fargo, ND) -- A smile can go a long way, and as it turns out North Dakota is one of the best when it comes to taking care of those chompers.
WalletHub has released its latest report on states with the best dental health, and the peace garden state comes in at 6th best in the country.
The personal finance website took into account 26 key metrics, including everything from share of adolescents who visited a dentist in the past year to dental treatment costs to dentists per capita.
Other subsets where North Dakota faired well include:
- 10th – % of Adolescents Who Visited a Dentist in the Past Year
- 25th – % Of Adults Who Visited a Dentist in the Past Year
- 6th – Dental Treatment Costs
- 22nd – Sugar-Sweetened Beverage Consumption
- 3rd – % of Adults Who Experienced Oral Pain in the Past Year
- 1st– % of Adults with Low Life Satisfaction Due to Their Oral Condition
The best state for dental health? Wisconsin. The worst? Mississippi.
