(Minneapolis, MN) -- Transportation Security Administration officers at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport are seeing an uptick in guns at security checkpoints.

MSP TSA agents confiscated two guns within the span of six hours on Tuesday. Officials say both guns were detected by the same officer at the same security checkpoint.

The first firearm was found in a carry-on bag early in the morning, and the second gun was found six hours later in another passenger's bag.

Airport Police confiscated both weapons.
