Updated: Suspect arrested in shooting at New York Mills boat plant; no injuries

(Update: 5:10 p.m) -- The shooting suspect has been identified as 21 year old David Jeremiah Gadsden. An investigation is still underway at this time.

(Update: 2:09 p.m ) -- No injuries are reported and a lone gunman is in custody following a shooting at a business in Otter tail County. 

The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office says an unidentified 21 year old male pulled a handgun and attempted to shoot a coworker at the Lund's Boat factory in New York Mills just after 7 a.m this morning following a verbal confrontation. Authorities say the suspect chased the coworker outside the building and was locked out by other workers inside, who held the door closed. In the scuffle, another Lund employee contacted the suspect and eventually caught and subdued him with the help of other coworkers.

"Had it not been for the quick actions of Lund staff members, the outcome may have been much worse, "said a statement sent to WDAY Radio. 

Law enforcement say the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Otter Tail County Jail with criminal charges pending. The victim was able to escape the suspect without injury.

(New York Mills, MN) -- One person is in custody following a shooting at a business in Otter Tail County. No one was hurt.

The Sheriff's Office was called to the Lund Boat Company for an active shooter just before 7:30 a.m. Thursday. Employees managed to restrain the shooter who was then taken into custody.
