Blizzard conditions impact travel conditions across North Dakota and Minnesota

(Fargo, ND) -- Several road closures are happening across North Dakota and Minnesota as a severe winter storm enters the Red River Valley.

The closures are listed on North Dakota's and Minnesota's Department of Transportation websites. Their updating maps give live information on several areas across the state.

North Dakota

As of 5:56, I-29 between Fargo and the South Dakota Border is closed. I-94 between Fargo and Bismarck is also closed. Roads in several counties in southeastern North Dakota are under no travel advisories, with several other counties experiencing travel alerts. North Dakota Highway 13 between I-29 and Wahpeton is also closed. Additional information on road closures can be found here.

Minnesota

As of 5:54, I-90,and several auxiliary roads between the South Dakota border and Worthington are currently closed. Additionally, roads near Lake Benton, Westbrook, Fulda, and several other areas are currently closed. Several highways and roads are either partially or completely covered in the central and southern portions of the state, with officials reporting low visibility in several of those areas.
