(Bismarck, ND) -- Budget writers for the Legislature are deciding how to proceed ahead of the release of revenue projections.

The state Office of Management and Budget and two consulting financial services companies will make the presentations next week.

The House and Senate appropriations committees are tentatively looking at four-percent raises for state employees each year for two years. The committees approved a 75-million dollar targeted equity pool to pay for the boosted salaries last month.

Officials say the increases and equity pool funding are adjustable based on how projections turn out.
