(Bismarck, ND) -- A company making robocalls is no longer allowed to operate in North Dakota.
State Attorney General Drew Wrigley has shut down a Texas-based company responsible for robocalls made to North Dakota residents in 2019 and 2020.
The companies are operated by John Caldwell Spiller the Second and business partner Jakob Mears.
Wrigley says some of the calls made by the company included those on the Do Not Call Registry.
A lawsuit filed by the Attorney General's office indicates the company was involved in a variety of scams.
