(Minneapolis, MN) -- Minnesota is one of the best places to practice medicine in the country.

That's according to a new WalletHub report on the best and worst states to be a doctor.

The personal finance website looked at nearly 20 key metrics, including average annual wage and hospitals per capita.

Minnesota ranked 5th best on the list. Montana was considered the best state to be a doctor, and South Dakota, Idaho, and Wisconsin round out the top five.

Hawaii ranked dead last. North Dakota came in 15th best.
