(Wyndmere, ND) -- WDAY Radio has learned of a sizable train derailment in Richland County.

The Sheriff's Office tells us that a 70-car train derailed around 1 a.m. Monday morning about 2 miles southeast of Wyndmere.

Of the 70 cars, 31 derailed and crashed off the tracks. No injuries have been reported, but a small leak of petroleum used in making asphalt did occur.

Officials on scene will let the cold weather solidify the leak though and gel up, causing no other issues.

Richland County Deputies do say that both 158th and 159th avenue southeast will be closed for cleanup between Highway 13 and 14. The cleanup is expected to last about seven to ten days.
