(Fargo, ND) — Attendance continues to slow at the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
Organizers say they’ve seen numbers drop since a record 750-thousand people participated during the 75th anniversary in 2015.
They say it’s dropped by a third since then.
The latest numbers from the South Dakota Department of Transportation show traffic during the first seven days of the rally was down about ten percent compared to the five-year average.
However, the rally remains a major tourism event for the state, attracting motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the globe.
