(Bismarck, ND) — The Burleigh County Commission is upping the ante when it comes to supporting public health. Last week, county commissioners voted to allocate 580,000 to Bismarck/Burleigh Public Health, up from 300,000 previously earmarked in September. Authorities say the funding amount constitutes about 25% of the county’s budget.
Officials in Bismarck hailed the move, pointing out that 75% of Burleigh County residents live within the city limits.
