(NORTH DAKOTA) — With North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum continuing on the campaign trail as one of the top surrogates for former President Donald J. Trump, news swirled quickly Thursday morning as a website domain pointed to Trump’s campaign website.
The domain, TrumpBurgum.com, took visitors to the 45th President’s website.
“The domain was not purchased by our campaign,” a Trump campaign official told WDAY Radio in a statement.
As of Thursday evening, the domain no longer pointed visitors to Trump’s site.
WDAY Radio has reached out to Burgum’s spokesperson for comment, but no response has been received as of the time this article was published.
