(Bismarck, ND) -- Nearly 60-percent of North Dakota nursing homes are no longer admitting patients because of staffing shortages.

North Dakota Long Term Care Association President Shelly Peterson says a recent survey indicates admission freezes have increased from July's level of 17-percent.

Peterson says one long-term care facility is considering discharging current residents because they don't have enough staff.
