North Dakota Cracking Down On Drugged Driving

(Bismarck, ND) -- The North Dakota Highway Patrol is cracking down on drugged driving.

Nearly 50 Drug Recognition Experts are located in North Dakota and specialize in detecting people who may be using drugs while behind the wheel.

DRE's have screened 90 drivers so far this year, down from just over 160 last year.

Officials say a third of deadly crashes in the state have involved either alcohol or drugs.
