(Bismarck, ND) -- North Dakota health officials are confirming five cases of West Nile virus in the state.
State health officials announced the cases yesterday, saying the affected patients are experiencing severe symptoms. Four of the five patients were hospitalized.
Test results are pending on six other potential cases, with two of those patients hospitalized.
