Rural Healthcare Providers Struggling With Increasing COVID-19 Cases

(Bismarck, ND)  --  Rural healthcare providers are struggling with an increasing number of COVID-19 cases. 

Officials with Southwest Healthcare Services say they have increased staffing numbers to deal with the latest wave of patients.  Rural providers also say that nurses are providing other services in addition to direct care to make up for staffing shortages.

Officials say they are monitoring the virus and preparing for the need to reschedule routine visits in the situation worsens.
