Hit and Run in Grand Forks Leads to Charge

 

Grand Forks Police Officers were dispatched to the parking lot at 700 1st Ave. N. for a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a car, which had left the scene.  On scene, Officers made contact with a male who stated that he had been purposely struck by another male subject driving a tan Honda Civic.  The victim went to Altru emergency room and sought medical treatment for an injury to his leg.

Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Deputies were able to locate the suspect vehicle and arrested the driver, Frederick Graden (36 y/o) of Mekinock, ND for DUI.  Through their investigation, GFPD Officers were able to determine that Graden was the driver of the vehicle when it struck the victim. Graden was charged with Reckless Endangerment and Leaving the Scene of an Accident involving Injury.
