Drew Sandy's goal in the second period lifted the Fargo South-Shanley boys hockey team to a 3-1 lead over Grand Forks Central Tuesday night in EDC hockey action in Fargo. A goal late in the second by Central's William Lawson-Body pulled the Knights to within one goal, but the Bruins held them off the board, skating to a 3-2 win at the Farmers Union Insurance Center.
The loss for Grand Forks Central marked the end of their 80-game unbeaten streak against North Dakota teams.
Fargo South-Shanley is now 8-3-1 overall and 6-2-1 in the EDC.
