NDSU head football coach Matt Entz has been named the American Football Coaches Association National Coach of the Year for the Football Championship Subdivision.
As a first-year head coach, Entz guided the Bison to a 16-0 record, their ninth straight Missouri Valley Football Conference championship, its third straight NCAA title and eighth in the last nine seasons.
In addition, he was the Missouri Valley Football Conference coach of the year and finished second in voting for the STATS FCS Eddie Robinson Award.
