In Minnesota there is a man who roams the outfield and bases fearlessly and at speeds that amaze any baseball fan. His name? Byron Buxton, and he has just been named the American League's Player of the Month in April.

In April Buxton made a statement with eight multi-hit games including a 5 for 5 game at the plate against the Cleveland Indians. Buxton played in 18 games accumulating a .426 batting average with 29 hits, eight home runs, and 14 RBI’s. Along with scorching the ball at the plate he showed his instincts on the base paths by scoring 15 runs and stealing three bases in April.

Buxton also played gold glove caliber defense all month long making countless web gems from diving catches to leaping over the wall and stealing home runs.
