(Landover, MD) -- It looks like the wait is over.
The Washington Football Team will now be known as the Washington Commanders. The team revealed its new name Wedneday. It had been known as the Washington Football team since 2020 after retiring the Redskins name and logo.
The process took 18 months and it involved fans, players, and community leaders.
