Bison Baseball Is Second In The Summit League Preseason Poll

     The North Dakota State University baseball team is projected to finish second in the Summit League Preseason Poll, the league office announced.

     A pair of Bison in Peter Brookshaw and Max Loven were put on the Summit League Players to Watch list. Last season Brookshaw started all 61 games while racking up a .263 batting average with 59 hits and 38 RBI’s. In 12 starts on the bump, Loven posted a 3-3 record with 50 strikeouts.

     In 2021 NDSU set a school record with 42 wins that included a 42-19 overall record. The Bison ended up winning the Summit League Tournament title and the program's first NCAA Regional game victory in the Division I era.

     NDSU opens up the 2022 schedule with a four-game series at Abilene Christian on Feb. 18-20.
