Drew Ward Has Been Named the American Association Batter of the Week

     After a phenomenal week at the plate, RedHawks slugger Drew Ward was named the American Association Batter of the Week for the week of June 5-12.

     This past week he played in 7 games for Fargo-Moorhead. During the week he racked up 11 hits with four home runs and 11 RBI. Ward also tallied eight walks and eclipsed a .367 batting average.

     This is Ward’s second season with the RedHawks and he’s among the league leaders in most offensive categories. He has a .378 batting average with 24 total hits. Ward is top-5 in the American Association in both home runs (10) and RBI (28).

     The RedHawks will host the Cleburne Railroaders for a three game series beginning on Tuesday, June 14. First pitch is slated for 7:02 p.m.
