North Dakota State University men’s basketball head coach David Richman has announced the addition of junior college transfer guard Jacari White.

White is transferring to NDSU from State College of Florida and has three years of eligibility remaining.

The Orlando, Fla., native stands at 6-foot-3 and averaged 13.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game this past season, earning first-team all-conference honors. White was a dangerous shooter as he knocked down 92 percent at the free throw line and connected on 39-percent shooting from three point range.

Richman voiced his pleasure with the addition of White saying, “Jacari is a talented and versatile guard who can really shoot the basketball, and he has great defensive instincts.” Richman continued, “most importantly, he’s a high character young man that will be a great addition and fit for our Bison Family.”

During his single season at State College of Florida, White scored 23-plus points five times, including shooting 50 percent or better in four of those games.
