NDSU’s Hamling Selected to the Preseason All-Summit League First Team

     North Dakota State women’s basketball guard Heaven Hamling has been named to the Preseason All-Summit League First Team.

     Last season Hamling started in all 29 games for the Bison, averaging a team-high 34.4 minutes per game. She scored double digit points in 24 of 29 games, while also leading the Bison averaging 14.3 point per game. Hamling led the Summit League in three-pointers made per game with 2.31 and three-point field goal percentage shooting 39.0 percent from distance.

     The Grand Rapids, Minn., native was an All-Summit League Honorable Mention. This past season she knocked down 67 three-pointers, second most in the conference. Hamling grabbed 124 rebounds, including a team-high 116 defensive rebounds.

     North Dakota State was chosen to finish fifth in the Summit League Preseason Poll as a team.

     NDSU will begin the 2022-23 campaign on Nov. 7 at Montana.
