Bison Football’s Williams Named The MVFC Offensive Player of the Week

     North Dakota State running back TaMerik Williams has been named the Missouri Valley Football Conference’s Offensive Player of the Week. This is the first time in his collegiate career he’s earned the honor.

     Williams rushed for a game-high 120 yards on 12 carries with 2 touchdowns in NDSU’s 56-17 victory over Western Illinois. The Angleton, Texas native, scored on runs of 25-yards and 1-yard.

     He was one of 10 different Bison to have a carry in the win. NDSU rushed for a season-high 453 yards on 55 rushes with seven touchdowns. Williams leads all Bison ball carriers averaging 8.2 yards per rush this season.

     NDSU (7-2, 5-1 MVFC) will hit the road this weekend to square off with Southern Illinois (5-4, 4-2 MVFC) on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 1 p.m.
