North Dakota State senior guard Heaven Hamling has been named the TucketSmarter Summit League Women’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week, the Summit League office announced on Monday.
Hamling has played a pivotal role in helping the Bison to the program’s first 6-0 start since 2004. This past week she averaged 22.3 points per game and dropped a career-high 39 points in a win over Nevada. Throughout the week she shot 50 percent (22-44) from the field, including 47.3 percent (9-19) from three-point range, and 87.5 percent (14-16) from the stripe.
She has scored 20-plus points three times this season, while also surpassing the 1,000 career points scored mark.
Hamling and the Bison will visit Eastern Michigan on Thursday, Dec. 1 with tip set for 6 p.m.
