On Monday, league officials announced that North Dakota State junior guard Boden Skunberg has been awarded as the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Men’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week for the first time in his career.
He dominated the competition in three games throughout the week averaging 20.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, while helping the Bison to a 2-1 record over that span.
Skunberg helped NDSU to a 67-62 victory over Portland State to begin the week. He tallied his first double-double of the season dropping a career-high in points with 20 and rebounds with 10. The win ended NDSU’s four game losing streak.
The following game Skunberg would set a new career-high in points when he racked up 22 in the Bison’s 72-65 loss against Montana. He finished the game with seven rebounds and was perfect from the strip knocking down all 12 free throws he attempted.
Skunberg ended the week helping NDSU roll Waldorf College 99-54. He dropped 19 points in the victory. He has now scored in double figures for five straight games.
The Bison have the week off before visiting Western Illinois on Monday, Dec. 19 with tip slated for 6 p.m.
