NDSU’s Nelson is the Summit League Peak Performer of the Week

     North Dakota State junior forward Grant Nelson has earned the Summit League Men’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

     In two games last week, Nelson posted a pair of double-doubles, averaging 23.0 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks per game. This is his first weekly honor of his collegiate career.

     Nelson began the week with a 22-point, 14 rebound, and career-high five block performance in a road victory over Kansas City. He followed up that performance with a 24-point, 12 rebound, and 3 steal game in a loss at Oral Roberts.

     He now has recorded a Summit League best eight double-doubles on the season.

     After his impressive weekend Nelson is averaging a double-double in league play with 19.8 points and 10.1 rebounds per game.
