EAST GRAND FORKS (WDAY) - The Moorhead boys hockey team will return to St Paul to compete in the Minnesota State Hockey Tournament after defeating Roseau in the Section Championship, Thursday.
After going up 2-0 in the first period, the Spuds dominated the second period with four additional goals and cruised to an easy 8-1 win. Aaron Reierson tallied 4 goals in the game, while Kai Weigel stopped 25 of 26 shots in net.
After starting the season 9-9, the Spuds have now won 10 straight heading into the State Tournament next week.
