Towns leads Wolves past Hawks in return to lineup

(Minneapolis, MN) -- Karl-Anthony Towns hit a go-ahead free throw in his first game since November as the Timberwolves beat the Atlanta Hawks 125-124 at the Target Center. Towns got to the charity stripe with three seconds left in regulation and hit both shots to give Minnesota the lead. De'Andre Hunter missed a game-winning shot at the buzzer.

The Wolves trailed by 11 in the fourth before going on a 13-2 run to get back into the contest. Towns scored 22 points in his return to the line-up after missing 51 games because of a calf injury and Naz Reid led Minnesota with 26 off the bench. The Wolves have won their last two and sit seventh in the Western Conference at 37-37.

Minnesota visits Golden State on Sunday.
