Timberwolves edge Golden State in San Francisco

(San Francisco, CA)  --  Karl-Anthony Towns knocked down a clutch shot to send the Timberwolves past the Warriors 99-96 in San Francisco. Towns knocked down a transition three with eleven seconds left in regulation to put the Wolves up by two. Jaden McDaniels added a free throw, and Steph Curry missed a game-tying three at the buzzer.

Anthony Edwards returned to the Wolves lineup and scored 13 points, while Naz Reid led the way with 23 off the bench. Minnesota is in seventh-place in the Western Conference, now just a half-game behind the Warriors. The 38-and-37 Timberwolves visit Sacramento tonight.
