KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the sixth straight year, the North Dakota State University men’s basketball team has earned the Team Academic Excellence Award presented by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
The academic award program recognizes outstanding achievement by teams with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better for the 2018-19 season. All teams in NCAA Divisions I, II, III and NAIA are eligible. NDSU was one of 40 Division I schools to receive the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, as the student-athletes on the 2018-19 roster combined for a cumulative 3.11 team GPA.
The Bison were one of only 11 Division I programs to earn a bid to the 2019 NCAA Tournament while owning a cumulative team grade point average of 3.0 or better.
