(Denver, CO) — Nikola Jokic posted his ninth triple-double of the postseason as the Nuggets defeated the Heat 104-93 in Game One of the NBA Finals in Denver. The two-time MVP finished with 27 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists in his NBA Finals debut. Jamal Murray poured in 26 points for Denver, which led by as many as 24 in the dominant win.
Bam Adebayo paced Miami with 26 points and 13 rebounds in the losing effort. Miami shot only two free throws in the loss.
The Nuggets now lead the series 1-0 as they seek their first NBA title. The teams will meet for Game Two in Denver on Sunday.
