Former Bison Hoops Star Signs With Fourth Pro Team

Former North Dakota State University basketball standout Lawrence Alexander has signed a contract to play in Slovakia for his fourth professional season.

Alexander will play for defending Slovak Basketball League champion BK Levicki Patrioti in Levice, Slovakia, for the 2018-19 season.

Alexander played for Horsens IC in Denmark the past two seasons, averaging 15.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game last year. He was named Eurobasket.com All-Danish Ligaen honorable mention after helping Horsens IC to the regular season title.

Alexander played at NDSU from 2011-15. He was named The Summit League’s Player of the Year and Tournament MVP as a senior in 2015, as well as earning NABC first-team All-District and AP honorable mention All-America honors. Alexander set new NDSU career records for minutes played (4,631), games started (131) and wins (90). He finished his Bison career ranked fourth in school history with 1,755 points.
