Gophers defeat Bowling Green in Quick Lane Bowl

(Detroit, MI) — The Minnesota Gophers closed out their 2023 season with a 30-24 win over Bowling Green in the Quick Lane Bowl at Ford Field.

Minnesota trailed by one at halftime before taking control of the game with a pair of third-quarter touchdowns. Bowling Green scored with under three minutes left in regulation to get within one possession, but Minnesota recovered the on-side kick and ran out the clock to seal the win. Cole Kramer passed for two touchdowns and ran for another while completing a career-high eight passes for 26 passing yards, the second highest total of his five-year collegiate career. Darius Taylor added 208 yards and a score on the ground.

Minnesota finished the season with a 6-7 record and a 3-6 mark in Big Ten play.
