Twins rally past White Sox in ninth

(Chicago, IL) — The Minnesota Twins scored a go-ahead run in the top of the ninth to beat the Chicago White Sox 3-2 at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Max Kepler stroked an RBI single to give Minnesota the lead. Chicago had runners on the corners in the home half of the inning, but Caleb Thielbar struck out Korey Lee to end the game and earn his second save of the season. Griffin Jax earned the win in relief, while Carlos Santana stroked his fourth home run. The Twins have won their last eight games, which is their longest winning streak since 2011.

The 15-13 Twins send Simeon Woods Richardson to the mound against the White Sox on Tuesday night.

In other team news, Carlos Correa was activated from the injured list yesterday.
