Force Secure Second Clark Cup Championship

For the second time in franchise history the Fargo Force are Clark Cup champions! The Dubuque Fighting Saints clawed their way to a 3-1 win Friday night, cutting the series lead to 2-1 in favor of the Force thanks to goals by Gavin Cornforth, Seamus Powell and Jake Sondreal. Fargo’s lone goal came in the second period when Reid Daavettila got his second goal of the post season at the 15:57 mark.

The Force regrouped Saturday night and took down the Dubuque Fighting Saints 3-1 in Game 4 of the Clark Cup Final. Fargo won the series 3-1. Brasen Boser, Jake Fisher, and Brandon Svoboda all scored in the series clinching victory. Hampton Slukynsky saved 22 of the 23 shots he faced between the pipes. Fargo had two of the Game’s 3 Stars; Jake Fisher, who scored what would be the game winner, named the 2nd Star and Hampton Slukynsky with another amazing performance in net was named the Game’s 1st Star.  Forceforward Mac Swanson was named USHL Clark Cup Playoff Most Valuable Player, Swanson led the league in playoff goals (5), assists (12) and points (17),.
