The American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) have announced the the preseason FCS Coaches Poll.
Seven Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) teams landed in the preseason poll with an eighth receiving votes in the Top 25. The MVFC teams are No. 1 South Dakota State, No. 2 North Dakota State, No. 5 South Dakota, No. 11 Southern Illinois, No. 20 Illinois State, No. 22 North Dakota, and No. 23 Youngstown State. Additionally, Northern Iowa received votes in the poll.

North Dakota State will kickoff the 2024 season on Thursday, August 29 in Boulder, Co to take on the University of Colorado. Kickoff will be slated for 7 p.m. CT with game coverage available on ESPN.
