PWHL Minnesota unveils new logo, colors, and team name

After winning the Professional Women’s Hockey League’s inaugural championship, PWHL Minnesota has revealed the franchise’s new logo and team name on Monday.

The Minnesota team will be nick named the “Frost” after the state of Minnesota’s deep rooted love for the ice. The team’s logo is the letter “F” with sharp edges, resembling icicles. Additionally, the team’s color palette is highlighted by a deep midnight purple, including accents of lilac, icy blues, and blizzarding whites.

In a league statement PWHL Senior Vice President of Hockey Operations, Jayna Hefford, said, “Our teams were so proud to represent their home markets last season, and as we launch Season Two, we’re elevating that pride with new identities that truly embody the spirit of each club.” She continue, “These new names and logos capture the dynamic energy of our athletes and enhance our teams’ presence in their cities, building a stronger foundation for the future of our league.”

The other five league team names are the Boston Fleet, Montreal Victoire, New York Sirens, Ottawa Charge, and Toronto Sceptres.
