A pair of three run innings led the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks past the Sioux Falls Canaries 7-1 on Monday night. The RedHawks scored three runs in the first and fifth innings.
Eric Chalus gave up one run over 6 2/3 innings, earning the win. Parker Harm tossed 1 1/3 scoreless innings while Jon Beymer threw a shutout inning.
Dillon Thomas led Fargo-Moorhead with a three run homer, his 16th of the season. Tucupita Marcano added two RBI. Brian Fuentes chipped in a solo home run, his eighth of the season. Matt Kroon also drove in a run.
The RedHawks improved to a record of 42-38 on the season.
Fargo-Moorhead will now hit the road to visit the Sioux City Explorers. The series will begin on Tuesday night with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
