RedHawks – Goldeyes series finale suspended due to rain

On Monday, June 15 the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks and Winnipeg Goldeyes began their series finale matchup at Newman Outdoor Field.

Fargo-Moorhead jumped Winnipeg early, scoring in each of the first three innings. The RedHawks led the game 11-1 in the top of the fourth inning. Bryce Brassfield was on the mound for Fargo-Moorhead. Winnipeg had no outs with runners on first and second base with Jiandido Tromp at the plate holding a 1-0 count, when the rain started pouring down.

The game would end up being suspended. The game will be resumed the next time Winnipeg is scheduled to be in Fargo on Tuesday, September 1.

The RedHawks are currently 12-16 on the season and will now hit the road for a week long six game road trip to Lake Country and Gary SouthShore. Fargo-Moorhead will begin a three-game mid week series at league-leading Lake Country (20-7) beginning on Tuesday night with the first pitch slated for 6:35 p.m.
