RedHawks strike first before being bombarded in loss to Goldeyes

After scoring the game’s first run, the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks would give up 10 unanswered runs in a 10-1 loss to the Winnipeg Goldeyes in Game 1 of their West Division Championship Series.

Orlando Rodriguez was tagged with the loss after giving up five runs over 2 ⅓ innings of work. Five other pitchers contributed out of the bullpen for the RedHawks. Fargo-Moorhead’s only run was driven in by Drew Ward.

The series will now shift to Winnipeg on Wednesday with first pitch set for 6:30 p.m. The Goldeyes lead the best of three series one game to zero.
