Team USA Basketball to play Canada in an exhibition game Wednesday evening

(Las Vegas, NV) — The USA Men’s Basketball Team is taking the court for the first time this summer.

Team USA will challenge Canada in the USA Basketball Showcase on Wednesday in Las Vegas. This marks the first of five exhibition contests that the team will play before beginning competition at the Paris Olympics on July 28th. Kevin Durant has been ruled out for the game due to a calf strain that has sidelined him for all of the national team’s training camp.

This is the first time the two countries square off on the hardwood since Canada beat Team USA in the bronze medal game of last year’s FIBA World Cup.
